"I am 73 years old and I have been working out with John Dickson at Florida Fitness concepts for about 5 years. For several reasons I find this to be the best way for me to get regular exercise. Number 1, if I did not have a set time to work out, I probably would not do it at all. Number 2, working with a personal trainer, John knows exactly what I should and should not be doing with my exercise and sets my workouts so I am not doing too much or too little. "At 80 lbs. overweight and with an eating disorder out of control I needed to do something. I felt a personal trainer was the right approach for me. I was so self conscious about my weight that I would not join the YMCA or a large fitness center. I made an appointment at Florida Fitness Concepts in November of 1998. The small facility, friendly staff, and family atmosphere made me feel comfortable. At FFC I found an exercise facility where clients are focused on their health and getting in shape instead of checking each other out. "I came to John Dickson in September 2000 and asked him to be my Success Coach for the EAS Body-for-Life 12 week Body Transformation Challenge. I knew that John’s experience as a professional body builder would be valuable as I took on the BFL Challenge. I looked to John for weight training, and for cardiovascular and nutritional counseling, but what I got was a complete transformation of myself both inside2 and out. The thing that impresses me most about John is his complete honesty. He took my challenge participation very seriously and made sure I stayed on track, whether I wanted to or not. " I started working out at FFC as a result of a friend's recommendation and because it was conveniently located to my house. When I had previously worked out, I had always chosen a large "Bally style" type of place where I would get lost in the shuffle of people strutting their stuff for others…a place where the socialites frequented.
